Will the following PC specifications be good for editing movies?
I am using a notebook computer soley for the purpose of running Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 and editing home movies (adding titles, music, FX). Will the listed specifications be enough to edit comfortably with?
Processor: Intel Core T Duo processor T2450 2.0GHz
Cache: 2MB L2
Memory: (RAM) 2048MB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
Video Graphics: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 (shared)
Hard Drive: 120GB (5400RPM) Hard Drive
Optical Drive: LightScribe Super Multi 8X DVDñR/RW with Double Layer
Display: 15.4" WXGA High-Definition BrightView Widescreen
Operating System: Genuine Windowsr XP Professional
Everything looks alright and will get you ok performance. But if you add to your processor speed (maybe upgrade to C2D E6400) and maybe give more ram (possible 4gb if the budget allows), then you would see much better performance. Also, a larger hard drive would help because you could store multipel copes with different efefcts and such and then delete later but HDD space wont affect performance.
